Abbey Buildings - Venue Hire
The Buildings known as the Medieval Abbey Buildings have Scheduled Monument Status under the protection of English Heritage. They are owned by the Friends of Abingdon and enjoy charitable status. All monies made from rentals are used to look after and protect the fabric of the Buildings which consist of the Long Gallery, with the Lower Hall beneath, the Unicorn Theatre and various adjoining rooms. The Long Gallery is popular for summer wedding receptions (click for details), parties and other social events.
The Unicorn Theatre seats 89 and has facilities for plays, concerts, films, lectures and meetings. Because of the unique nature of the buildings we suggest that you arrange a visit with the Curator to discuss their suitability for your intended event.
