The death is announced of Denis Burles, long time member of Friends of Abingdon and for many years an active member of the Executive Committee. Denis was a staunch friend, highly regarded by all of us. His cheerful smile from on high will be missed, and our heartfelt condolences are offered to his family. The announcement of his death is made in the following terms in the Daily Telegraph - Denis Richard. Peacefully at home on 17th July 2008. Husband of the late Jenny and loved father of Ian, Barry, Tim and their families.
