Re-opening Abingdon Museum - 19:00 for 19:30, Unicorn Theatre; illustrated talk by Jane Bowen, recently appointed as Curator of the Abingdon Museum.
NB this replaces the previously advertised talk on Neighbours, Pigs and Flooding which has had to be postponed. Jane has kindly agreed to step in at short notice and it will be a fascinating opportunity to hear about the challenges she and her team are facing and hopefully get a preview of what we will see later in the year. (For those who were particularly looking forward to hearing about the steam engines in the basement she has promised to give them a mention!) . Abingdon’s Railway - 19.00 for 19.30, Unicorn Theatre. Talk by Ivan Cadge of Abingdon & District Model Railway Society. Ivan will bring some of the old timetables and tickets and other interesting items.
